EUROTREFF 2027 – JOY!
Time is running out: Apply as a choir for EUROTREFF 2027 until 31 October 2026!
From 8 to 12 September 2027, Wolfenbüttel will once again be the place where young choirs from Germany, Europe, and other parts of the world come together. For five days, everything will be about music, making new friends, and the fun of singing together.
Picture this: You travel with your choir to an international festival, where you meet singers from different countries, sing together in ateliers and concerts, discover new music and spend five days with people who love choral music as much as you do. The theme of EUROTREFF 2027 is „JOY“. This means that the event will focus on the joy of singing, learning, and discovering together.
This is the spirit of EUROTREFF, one of the longest-running international choir festivals for young choirs. It is organised every two years by the Arbeitskreis Musik in der Jugend (AMJ). For the 22nd time, around 600 young singers from different countries are expected in Wolfenbüttel.
Making music, meeting people from all over the world, sharing experiences
A special part of EUROTREFF is the international choir ateliers. For 2027, we’ve been able to engage exciting and experienced atelier conductors from various countries:
- Children’s choir ateliers: Josep Vila Jover (Spain) and Elena Szuczies (Germany)
- Mixed youth choir ateliers: Tori Longdon (England) and Marleen de Boo (Belgium)
- Girls choir ateliers: Maud Hamon-Loisance (France) and Laura Jēkabsone (Latvia)
What can you expect?
- International choir ateliers with renowned choir conductors
- A grand closing concert presenting the results of the atelier work
- Open singing in downtown Wolfenbüttel
- Choir-to-Choir concerts, in which two choirs collaborate to present a concert
- Concerts in schools and social institutions
- Plenty of opportunities for international exchanges, making new friends and gain new musical experiences
Who can participate?
- Children’s, youth and girls choirs with singers aged 8 to 26 (boys’ choirs may participate in the mixed youth choir workshops)
- Participation fee: €150, €130, or €100 per person (depending on the country group as defined by the IFCM; see the IFCM’s country group classification)
