The city of Turin will host the third edition of this important competition for choir conductors address to participants from all over the world.
The competition is a project by Conservatorio G. Verdi of Torino, Feniarco and Associazione Cori Piemontesi under the label of European Choral Association, with the patronage of Piedmont Region and City of Turin with the support of the Ministry of Culture

Preliminary round (in 2 stages): 18 participants
Saturday 19 October 2024
Semi-final rounds (in 2 stages): a maximum of 10 conductors will be admitted.
Sunday 20 October 2024
Final rounds (in 2 stages: rehearsal and performance): a maximum of 5 conductors will be admitted.
Who?
The competition is open to all the choir conductors born after 1st November 1984: they also must be 18 years old on the competition date.
Jury
The international jury is made up of 5 music personalities: Helene Stureborg (Sweden), Māris Sirmais (Latvia), Basilio Astulez (Spain, Basque Country), Roberta Paraninfo (Italia) and Piero Monti (Italia).
Choirs
The competition foresees the involvement of five choirs at the different stages‘ contests.
Preliminary round: National Youth Choir (mixed choir), Coro giovanile With Us (female youth choir)
Semifinal round: Coro da camera di Torino (mixed choir), Coro polifonico di Ruda (male choir)
Final round: S:t Jacob’s Chamber Choir, Sweden (mixed choir)
Prizes
First prize: € 2.000 and diploma
Second prize: € 1.500 and diploma
Third prize: € 1.000 and diploma
Special prizes:
G. Abbà special prize for the youngest conductor admitted to the final: € 500
Final concert Audience prize: € 500
Any other special prizes will be defined later
Scholarship Noël Minet
The participants of the Fosco Corti International Competition can apply for the Noël Minet Scholarship of the European Choral Association. In 2024 the Noël Minet Fund will offer scholarships up to 500€ each. Deadline for applications: 30/04/2024. You can find information and details on ECA website.
